Starting recovery can feel overwhelming — but you don’t have to do it alone. PRSSs at The Life Change Center provide one-on-one support, advocacy, and encouragement from people who have walked the same path. They help clients adjust to programs, connect with community services, and build the confidence needed to sustain recovery.
Recovery isn’t just about medication or therapy — it’s also about having someone in your corner who understands your struggles. Peer specialists use their lived experience to bridge the gap between treatment and real life, making recovery feel more achievable.
At TLCC, PRSSs are integral to care. They guide clients as they navigate programs, attend appointments, or seek out additional resources. Their presence helps reduce isolation, strengthen motivation, and increase engagement in treatment.
Most importantly, peer support provides hope. By seeing what’s possible through the recovery of others, clients are inspired to believe in their own success.

How Peer Recovery Supports You
Each client is paired with a Peer Recovery Support Specialist who provides hands-on guidance. This may include attending appointments together, creating recovery plans, offering emotional support, and celebrating milestones. PRSSs are there through setbacks and successes, helping you move forward one step at a time.
